*For every 1 minute from the point of cardiac arrest to a patient receiving treatment with a defibrillator, their chances of survival reduces by 10%.*
As a dentist, when carrying out my regular medical emergency update training, certain statistics have had a significant impact on me.
After calling 999 and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using a defibrillator is the best way to increase the chances of someone surviving a cardiac arrest.
Canons Park is not only my home, but holds a special place in the hearts of its supportive and caring community. However, what our community lacks is a Public Access Defibrillator for the area, which could make all the difference in a medical emergency.
You can play a vital role in helping to save lives in Canons Park by donating any sum to contribute to our Appeal. We want to provide a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) within reaching distance of the local parade, underground station and public park.
Please help us, to save the hearts of Canons Park.
The Canons Park Group is for the local community living or working in and around the Stanmore, Canons Park and Edgware area to share information and news about things going on locally.
We would very much like you to join our group and assist us in supporting our local community:
On behalf of myself, my family and the wider community of Canons Park, I thank you for any contribution to this cause.
