Beaufort Hearts - Calonnau Cendl is fundraising in order to acquire 2 life-saving defibrillators for the Beaufort area. We will need to raise a minimum of £6000 to purchase the defibrillators, external cases and to cover the running cost for the next 4 years. The two external sites are
confirmed as Beaufort Hill Miners Welfare Hall and Bethel Methodist Church. We also hope to support the community in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.

Survival rates have been reportedly significantly higher where CPR and defibrillation are delivered promptly. In the event of an adult or child suffering with Cardiac arrest, early intervention by a bystander, even those with little or no first aid training, can therefore buy time until professional help arrives, improving the chance of a successful outcome.
