- About
The Community Heartbeat Trust is one of the UK’s leading defibrillator charities building lifesaving networks, not just placing devices.
Since 2009, we’ve supported over 10,000 communities, trained more than 250,000 people, and sent defibrillators to over 11,559 reported emergencies.
But we need your help to keep going.
Your donation helps us:
- Maintain and rescue defibs in underfunded or neglected areas
- Support Emilio’s Fund, providing home AEDs for those with inherited cardiac risk
- Train schools, clubs, and volunteers in CPR and confidence
- Fund our small team who travel the UK helping fix and support community defibs
- Provide free post-rescue counselling for those affected
- Track AED use and ensure all devices are registered, governed, and rescue-ready
Every…
£10-£50
Allows us to research and produce material that explains how all of this works in the UK, how defibs are activated, bleed kits, what happens in a real emergency, what is ambulance service policy, what is the law? Are you protected so that you can make smart informed decisions about how you plan a project.
£50–£200
Helps us train up to 50 people in CPR, replace pads and batteries to keep a defibrillator running for another 2–4 years, and provide essential community support resources.
£200–£500
Funds our maintenance team, who work 7 days a week helping communities fix defibs, solve problems, and keep sites online. They also run on tea and Hula Hoops so you’re fuelling both the mission and the team!
£500 and up
Helps us place defibrillators in homes, schools, shelters, and rural areas where they’re urgently needed and keep our stock of loan machines available, so no community is left unprotected during maintenance.
We don’t have a big advertising budget, just 16 years of grassroots commitment, a national governance platform (WebNos), and a belief that everyone deserves fast, local help in a cardiac emergency.
By donating today, you’re not just funding a machine you’re helping save lives.
