Alden Price sadly passed away on 22nd May 2017, aged just 18 following an unexpected sudden cardiac arrest. Unfortunately we were unable to help Alden's heart but in his memory we would like to raise funds to install defibrillators in our local community to help save other hearts. If one had been nearby when Alden suffered his heart failure maybe the outcome would have been different and we hope others will benefit from this legacy.
With the funds raised so far we are pleased to announce that defibrillators have been installed in Alden's memory in:
- Broughton Village Telephone Box - Installed April 2021
- Middleton Pavilion (with help from Taylor Wimpey who donated the actual defibrillator) - Installed April 2022
- Broughton Pavilion - Installed June 2023
We continue to raise funds to install defibrillators in the local area and keep them maintained. We aim to target sites which are vital for those using local facilities and shops or playing sports and games, both young and old. A huge thank you to those that have contributed so far.
