DONATIONS REQUIRED TOWARDS A LIFESAVING DEFIBRILLATOR FOR SUTTON RESERVOIR A TOTAL OF £1371.00 NEEDED

Sutton Parish has five defibrillators, one of which has already saved a life. The need for another defibrillator at Sutton reservoir has been identified. Four years ago a man died at this location and in August 2022 a man suffered a cardiac arrest whist at the reservoir, he also sadly died.

The deceased’s family and Macclesfield Victoria Angling Society (MVAS) have raised nearly £2000 towards the cost of a defibrillator and will donate monies towards the first years maintenance agreement, Sutton Parish Council will fund the maintenance in future years.

The purchase of the existing defibrillators was funded by the National Lottery, who were asked, to fund the shortfall. Regretfully they have advised us that they cannot help on this occasion.

The Canal and River Trust have waived their normal administration fee of £120 for items to be sited on their land.

We are seeking your help.

Only this week, a local business A. M. Bell (Properties) Ltd. has agreed to donate £250.00.
